Colts Take On Falcons in Berlin – NFL Week 10

Guten tag, fussball fans. How are you? Everything good I hope on this fine morning kickoff to week 10 coming directly from Deutschland. Berlin's Olympic Stadium to be precise where at 9:30 AM EST and 2:30 PM GMT the mighty Colts (7-2) face off against the Falcons (three wins and five losses). This marks the fifth matchup played on soil in Germany and the initial in the nation’s capital.

Pregame Highlights

When it comes to glittering attire that is an absolute belter from the Olympic figure skater on the coin toss. A minor slip from Sky Sports there as we hear “who won the toss?” from the presenter with an accidentally live microphone.

So, the coin toss went to Indianapolis and have chosen to get the ball first. Daniel Jones and company will be taking the field soon. Can the quarterback recover after a difficult performance in Pittsburgh?

Not to be outdone the vocalist performing the Star Spangled Banner has some of the biggest shoulder embellishments you are bound to notice. Loving the sartorial choices today. The game is about to start after a choir performance for the German anthem. Classy.

Opening Period Gameplay

Colts 0-0 Falcons 13:30, 1st quarter

Here we go! And we have early drama after Jonathan Taylor catches a screen pass, sweeps out for 15 yards to the right side then fumbles … only for his center to recover the fumble with the recovery. Colts are in Falcons territory already.

Still scoreless at 10:51

And the excitement continues as the Indianapolis attempts a fourth-down conversion. The risk doesn't work out as the wide receiver fails to catch a quick pass from Jones. Prior to the failed attempt Jessie Bates put a huge hit on the Colts' tight end. Atlanta's defense started strong as they try and snap their string of three losses. Next up Sauce Garner’s debut!

Touchdown Recap

TOUCHDOWN! Colts 6-0 Falcons 8:36, 1st quarter

Was that a missed touchdown by Kyle Pitts? The tight end drops a clanger, he was wide open but the ball just slips through his grasp. That moment reflects the first round pick’s career to date.

So far, so disappointing but it only gets worse for the Falcons as they cough the ball back to the Indianapolis on the 23-yard mark. The Falcons quarterback is sacked and can’t keep hold of the ball.

An agile 22-yard rush from the Colts receiver sets Jonathan Taylor up to easily run for a touchdown on the following play. The placekicker misses the point after attempt. Oops.

Falcons respond: 6-7 at 6:07

The quarterback recovers from the turnover by marching his Falcons down the field for a score of their own. Drake London makes some substantial catches to put them in the red zone then the defense opens up for the running back to saunter on to the goal line through the heart of the field for 13 yards. The running back finishes it off for a one-yard touchdown of his own. The Falcons take the lead.
