FC Barcelona Ready for First Match at Partially Completed Camp Nou over the weekend
Barcelona have announced they are set to host at the still-under-construction Camp Nou this Saturday. Athletic Bilbao will visit Athletic Bilbao in La Liga 30 months after they moved out for construction to commence.
“We’ve dreamed about the return. Now, it’s here. We’re back home. Back at Spotify Camp Nou.”
Attendance will be limited with 45,401 fans can be present as per the current authorization. When completed, it will accommodate almost 105,000 spectators, up from the previous 99,000. Barça announced finished work included a renovated tunnel for players and new dressing rooms.
Recent Activities
Barça organized an open training session inside the stadium in early November. The club said they were hoping for permission from European football’s governing body for their upcoming Champions League fixture facing Eintracht in December at the stadium. They have been hosting matches at the Olympic Stadium.
