The children's author David Walliams dropped by book publisher.
Prolific writer for children and TV personality David Walliams is no longer with his publisher HarperCollins UK, the company has said.
A spokesman for the firm stated: "Upon deliberation, and under the leadership of its recently appointed chief executive, HarperCollins UK will not be releasing any new titles by David Walliams."
Reports indicate that the move was reached following an inquiry regarding claims about inappropriate behaviour involving women.
The company declined to specify the specific rationale behind the move, adding: "We refrain from speaking about private personnel issues."
A Highly Successful Publishing History
Walliams ranks among Britain's most best-selling authors for kids, with sales exceeding in excess of 60 million copies globally in five dozen languages.
His inaugural foray into kids' literature, *The Boy in the Dress*, came out under HarperCollins back in 2008.
Several of his titles, for example *Gangsta Granny* and *Billionaire Boy*, have subsequently been turned into TV movies.
His bibliography includes over four dozen titles altogether, encompassing a festive story called *Santa & Son*, which was published by HarperCollins last autumn.
From Screen to Page
His initial claim to fame came on the television comedy show *Little Britain* and has been honored with National Television Awards for his work as a judge on *Britain's Got Talent*.
He received an OBE back in 2017 in recognition of his work for philanthropic and artistic endeavors.
This move occurs subsequent to the appointment of Kate Elton as HarperCollins UK's recent CEO last fall.
